2022 saw members of Lakers Ten Pin bowling players, having both a very successful Special Olympics in Blanchardstown and weekly tournaments in Bray bowl.
Many medals were won, and bowling has been of a very high standard throughout the year. Well done to all our bowlers on their attending every Tuesday and for the fun and joy which the bowling brings to all of us.
I was delighted to come on board with Lakers, as both a volunteer and a coach in mid-2022.
Our Tuesday night sessions have seen an average of anywhere between 35 / 40 bowlers weekly and everyone individual with different levels of skills within the game.
Based on previous handicaps acquired and then on watching each individual I divided the group in to four sections of A, B, C, and D.
Handicaps were then allocated as follows:
- Section A bowlers plus 10
- Section B bowlers plus 20
- Section C bowlers plus 30
- Section D bowlers plus 40

Sincere thanks to Phil at the trophy gallery for her help and assistance with sourcing the trophies and for the engraving on them.
I am also very happy to inform you all at Lakers, that at the end of this year, and on completion of our bowling calendar for 2023, I will again sponsor the prizes and presentation night.
Continue good bowling to everyone for 2023.
