To mark our Summer Camp drama classes finishing and a new term starting, parents and staff of Teen Drama were treated to a sneaky preview of the upcoming Lakers Show! We sat there waiting, not knowing what to expect! We were rather surprised to see a group of wild animals making their way towards us. . . But luckily it was just our Teens in costume – phew 😅. There were monkeys, giraffes, elephants and zebras and they performed two brilliant songs! Lloyd sang his heart out, Ross blew us away with a trumpet solo, Rebecca rocked out on the ukulele. All while Fionn and Isabelle kept the beat with their brilliant percussion work. For the next song Coleen led them in a funky dance number.
A great performance all round and so much fun to watch! At the end of the show each drama student was given a Certificate of Achievement for working hard learning their dances and songs so well over the summer. Well done to all! We cannot wait to see the full production of the show in Bray’s, Mermaid Theatre, on October 26th.
Lakers classes are designed to be inclusive and accessible for our members with special needs, and cater for all abilities. Each week we write a news blog with a focus on one of our classes. Showcasing the wide variety of classes we offer to our members with intellectual disabilities.
