Choose one of our three Guided Walks and join us as we enjoy the gorgeous scenery Glendalough has to offer!

 

 

  1. Walk A: Medium/Difficult, The Spinc: Hill Walk.

The group will walk up the steps to the waterfall and on to the Spinc with its spectacular views of the Lakes. We will then follow the  board walks along the top, looking               out for Rutting Deer as we go. We then  go on to the zig zags, cross over the Glenealo river, up to the miners village and back down the Lakeside walk to the carpark.

Distance/Duration 9 Km/approx. 3 / 3.5 hours – Start time 11.00, registration at 10.30am (good walking gear/ wet weather gear & packed lunch required).

 

2.  Woodland Trail Walk (GREY ROAD) 

         This group will follow the grey road on a beautiful woodland walk up the forest track where ground rises  about 90 M.

Distance/Duration 4Km /2 hours – Start time 12.00 pm sharp, registration at 11.30 am (good walking gear/ wet weather gear required)

 

       3. Walk C (Green Road):  Lakeside Walk Very Easy (3km – 1 Hr)

           A beautiful lakeside walk, all on flat ground suitable for low level of fitness. Wheelchair Friendly

Distance/Duration 3 Km/1 hour – Start time is 1.00pm Sharp. Registration is at 12.30pm 

 

  • Funds raised from our walk will go towards fuelling our buses for next year.  All walkers are asked to either make a donation of at least €25  or fundraise for their walking efforts –  You can fundraise online here
  • Or you can download your sponsorship card here. Be sure to print on both sides ( If you need you can also pick up a sponsorship card in our Centre).
  • Please bring wet weather gear, & water

 

Limited Transport available to Glendalough for those unable to drive up. Places will be allocated on a first come first serviced basis.

 

All three Walks commence from Glendalough Upper Lake Car Park by kind permission of National Parks and Wildlife Services.
