Lakers take to the pool like a fish to water!
Twice a week our members have swimming with Graham, Lisa and Mark
along with our amazing volunteers.
Swimming classes are up in Shoreline Swimming Pool Bray. Classes being on both Tuesday mornings and Friday afternoons gives each swimmer the choice of times that suits them most.
From beginners who are just starting out to lane swimming training for competitions. Our staff and volunteers are there to support each and every member as they learn, develop confidence and progress.
Swimming is one of the best activities for all around exercise and development . Not only is it fun, it also encourages muscle strength, coordination and problem solving skills. Beyond these water safety skills, though, swimming is fun! And, swimming helps improve core strength, coordination and gives a sense of mastery: all in a fun, relaxed, environment.
Along side lessons and competition prep our members learn about water safety. They are taught how to be pool aware and to know their limits. Water can be dangerous and we want all our members as safe as possible and aware of their environment
