Lakers have added a few new social classes to our calendar over the last year, one of those new social activities is
our Men’s Club. Taking place on Thursdays from 11.30am to 12.30pm. After the pandemic Lakers realised our members could do with having some more purely social outlets. Men’s Club is just that, a way for Men in Lakers to get together and chat, have a cuppa and skill share or learn a whole new skill.
Taking inspiration from the Men’s Shed movement, Lakers Men’s Club is a safe and productive place for like-minded individuals. The members get to know one another and form friendships while working with their hands. They often chat whilst helping with odd jobs around the centre, like picking up leaves after a storm or repotting plants. Even helping set up Santa’s grotto for Santa day back in December. All usually followed by a nice hot cup of tea.
This activity is supported by Lakers instructor Graham so you can be sure it will be filled with activity and laughter. Sometimes our brilliant caretaker Ciaran even joins in, he has a fountain of knowledge for all things practical and is happy to offer advice and guidance on how to carry out a task.
There are a few spaces still left in Men’s Club so if this tickles your fancy give us a call on (01) 2022 694 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
