Lakers Glendalough Walks
Lakers are delighted to be back offering our guided hillwalks of Glendalough. Join us on Saturday the 16th of October for wildlife spotting, stunning views and great craic! You can choose from 3 walks ranging from easy to hard. All Covid Safety Standards will be in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable day.



View From The Bridge Over Glenealo River
Walk A- Medium/Difficult The Spinc: Hill Walk
Meet at the Upper Lake car park, walk up by the waterfall and on to The Spinc, with its spectacular views of the Lakes. Follow the board walks, and zig zag across the Glenealo river, over to the miners village and back down the lakeside walk to the car park.
Distance/Duration 9 Km/ approx. 3 – 3.5 hours
Start time 12pm sharp, registration at 11.30am (good walking gear required).



Woodland Trail
Walk B- Moderate Grey Road: Woodland Walk
Walk up a lovely forest track where the ground rises by about 90m.
Distance/Duration 4Km /2 hours.
Start time 2 pm sharp, registration at 1.30 pm (good walking gear required).
Walk C-Very Easy Green Road: Lakeside Walk
The whole walk is on flat ground and is suitable for low level of fitness. It is also Wheelchair Friendly .
Distance/Duration 3 Km/1 hour.
Start time 2pm sharp, registration at 1.30 pm (weather appropriate clothing recommended).
- All support from our walks will go towards fueling & running our buses for the next year. Our buses transport our members to and from their activities, allowing them to return to sports and socialise safely.
- All walkers are asked to either fundraise online, offer a donation, or avail of our sponsorship cards which will be sent out with your registration confirmation.
All three Walks commence from Glendalough Upper Lake Car Park** by kind permission of National Parks and Wildlife Services.
